This evening 4 tired and dirty personnel returned to the city after completing the latest round of Structural Collapse Technician training. Different from previous classes held at the Fort Bend County Fire Field in Richmond, this particular course was held at the Texas A&M Bradden Fire Field. Using the famous "Disaster City" developed by the Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), the 80-hour class was attended by personnel from the Stafford, Missouri City, Richmond and Rosenberg Fire Departments. In true Texas form the weather was anything but cooperative subjecting the students to everything from cold and wind to snow and rain during the course of the 8 day class which added Lt. G. Lopez, FF C.J. Soto, FF J. Palma and FF D. Merchant to the TRT roster now totalling 23 personnel.
