On this cool evening department personnel participated in saving your own training geared toward fire fighter safety on the fireground. Using department built props personnel conducted drills involving entanglement obstacles and mayday transmission and forcible exit/wall breaching exercises.

Over the course of the evening over 20 personnel took part in this valuable training; no matter if for the first time or as a refresher. All those that took part gained valuable knowledge on how to identify when assistance was needed, how to properly transmit a mayday along with the correct information as well as self-escape skills for themselves and fellow crewmembers.
